About Dr. Olufunke Awosogba

Born and raised in Brooklyn and Queens, New York to first‑generation immigrant parents, I learned early how to navigate different spaces, manage multiple roles, and adapt to constant transitions. Much like the individuals and professionals I serve, I know what it means to carry a full load while still striving to show up with excellence. I am anchored by my faith, supported by my community, and driven by my assignment --to help people heal, grow, and lead well.

I am board certified in clinical health psychology, specializing in the care of adults living with chronic medical conditions. My work is grounded in bio‑psycho‑social‑cultural‑spiritual and cognitive‑behavioral approaches, allowing me to understand the whole person and support them in coping effectively, navigating complex experiences, and improving their quality of life. I am passionate about mental health integration in medical settings, increasing mental health literacy, and reducing stigma, especially in communities where mental health conversations have historically been limited.

I also work with high‑achieving professionals who are juggling demanding careers, caregiving responsibilities, leadership roles, and personal expectations. Many of my clients come to me overwhelmed, stretched thin, or quietly struggling beneath the weight of their commitments. Together, we create space for restoration, clarity, and sustainable well‑being.

For mental health providers, I offer clinical supervision and consultation rooted in cultural humility, evidence‑based practice, and real‑world clinical wisdom. My goal is to support clinicians in strengthening their skills, deepening their confidence, and delivering high‑quality care.

For organizations, I provide consultation on behavioral health program development, clinical integration, staff well‑being, and culturally responsive care. I have been invited to speak nationally on topics including oncology behavioral health program development, coping with cancer, race and culture in mental health, healthcare provider well‑being, leadership, and self‑care. I also serve on executive and advisory boards dedicated to improving mental health access for underserved populations and contribute to committees focused on education, clinical training, and diversity promotion.

Whether you are an individual seeking therapy, a clinician seeking guidance, or an organization seeking strategic support, my commitment is the same --: to help you navigate complexity with clarity, compassion, and evidence‑based expertise.
